Wowee! What fun we had last night! Here's a birthday picture of the lady a few years ago. If we had a cake for every year since this picture was taken, everyone in Monkey Town could eat cake every day for more than a month!

Beware The Beast!
Meet Sweet Pea the resident C-A-T, or as all in Monkey Town call her: The (strange and wondrous) Beast.
We sock monkeys got knocked down a peg when The Beast moved in with The Lady and The Man. Oh sure, she was a kitten then and snagged their hearts. But then she grew into a C-A-T and got all stuck-up and bossy.
We used to get to sleep in the Big Bed sometimes, but now The Beast hogs it EVERY NIGHT. And she leaves her stripey Beast hair everywhere. I tell you, it would just stick in my craw if I had one.

This is Mr. Grin and he's the newest sock monkey to move into Monkey Town! In fact, he's been here a whole week!
Mr. Grin is the official Monkey Town poet. He's been working real hard on his haiku:

Barbette Says Hello!
Meet Barbette, the reigning Miss Monkey Town! Isn't her yellow yarn hair just the best?
Her reign is almost over and everyone's all abuzz over the next pageant because this year the contestants will all get MAKEOVERS before being crowned THE SOCK!
Who will get MORE stuffing? Who will get their stuffing reduced? And will it be shiny black buttons or an exotic green pair?

Baby with a Big Head
Here's another one of Monkey Town's newest residents. Baby with a Big Head is stuffed with something so heavy he can hardly hold his head up. He did manage long enough for The Lady to take a picture though.

Why C-A-T?
Somebody asked me why I refer to The Beast as a C-A-T. Here in Monkey Town, instead of saying them, we're supposed to spell our dirty words out loud.

He is the Egg Man
This is Egg Man. He doesn't live in Monkey Town but he drops by whenever his butt falls asleep sitting on that wall.
The best thing about Egg Man is that he never complains. He says he's just happy to be here!

Eeeewww!
The Beast ate a worm! The Beast ate a green, sticky worm! Eeeewww! She came running in the house with part of it stuck to her ear! Part of it was dangling from a whisker and she was chewing on the rest of it! Eeeewww! Then The Lady had to chase her down and wipe the worm parts off with her fingers!
