Hey everybody, meet Twila!  She came all the way from the exotic-sounding Flower Mound just to live with us here in Monkey Town!  Twila says she can't think of anyplace else she'd rather be. 

I think Twila's a little jet-lagged.

"Of course we still like you," Twila reassured Ella.  "We think it's neat you're a sock elephant!"

"Listen," Twila went on, "everybody's a little different; look how big Baby's head is!"

Everyone in Monkey Town laughed.  And Ella felt right at home.

Twila, inspired by Groundhog day last week, tried to see if she could see her shadow!  She did and do you know what that means?

"Well," Twila said all out of breath, "The Lady's added a link to one of Monkey Town's favorite authors!  It's Cece Bell and Sock Monkey, the famous toy actor!  They even have a fan club!  Read all about it in the lower left corner of Monkey Town!"

"So tell me Beast," Twila said.  "Why do you leave your stripey beast hair all about?  Would it kill you to shed it in neat little piles?"

"Well," Twila said, arching an eyebrow.  "It seems a new link has been added to 'Things The Beast Likes.'  Details are sketchy, but it looks like people in Hawaii with nothing better to do than walk their dogs!"

"Well," Twila said, all out of breath.  "It seems we have a new Friend of Monkey Town.  It's Lurline Turtle, all the way from Flower Mound, Texas -- just like me!  And my, what a pretty shell she has!"
